Senior/Principal CSA Engineer – Mining

About the role

Wood is seeking a Senior/Principal CSA Engineer with extensive oil and gas petrochemical experience to support its Operations business across Kazakhstan. The role involves leading structural analysis and design for concrete and steel structures in line with local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform computer‑aided and manual structural analysis and design for all types of concrete and steel structures according to RoK Standards and Eurocodes.
• Analyse and design concrete foundations for various buildings and structures.
• Attend meetings, communicate design requirements, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Review calculations and designs from less experienced staff, offering feedback and mentorship.
• Prepare Basis of Design, Design Reports, FEED studies, Job Packs, and Material Requisitions.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections, and produce CTRs as required.

Required profile

• Higher technical education with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Professional level knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to apply advanced engineering principles and solve complex problems efficiently.
• Continuous professional development and ability to mentor less experienced engineers.

Required skills
