Senior Associate - Strategy&, Consumer Markets

About the role

PwC’s Strategy& team is seeking a Senior Associate to lead and support strategy projects for Consumer Markets clients across Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. You will work on retail, FMCG, e‑commerce and distribution engagements, turning complex business problems into actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workstreams in strategy, market entry, growth, operating model, sales effectiveness, pricing and performance improvement.
• Apply deep industry knowledge to develop practical recommendations for retail, FMCG and e‑commerce clients.
• Structure ambiguous problems, formulate hypotheses and conduct market, competitor, channel, product and profitability analyses.
• Create client‑ready PowerPoint deliverables, storylines, executive summaries and status reports.
• Collaborate with client teams to gather data, conduct interviews, facilitate workshops and co‑create solutions.
• Leverage insights on local consumer trends, channel structures and competitive dynamics in the three target markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Consumer Markets (retail, FMCG, e‑commerce) from a multinational, regional leader or consulting firm.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan market dynamics.
• Ability to work in a consulting environment: hypothesis‑driven problem solving, analytical rigor and clear communication.
