Senior Associate – M&A

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our M&A team in Almaty (or Astana). The role covers the full transaction lifecycle, from preparing marketing materials and financial models to supporting deal execution and maintaining client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare marketing materials such as teasers, information memoranda and management presentations, and take part in deal pitches.
• Develop financial models with minimal supervision for equity valuation in M&A and capital‑raising transactions.
• Conduct industry, company and product research across multiple sectors.
• Perform preliminary investment analysis on cross‑industry opportunities.
• Assist with end‑to‑end deal execution, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients as needed and sustain ongoing client relationships.
• Build relationships with PwC global network teams.
• Supervise and coach junior colleagues.

Required profile

• University degree in a business field with a GPA of at least 3.5/4.0.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, valuation, or investment banking.
• Proven involvement in executed M&A or capital‑markets transactions.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills across sectors.
• CFA or ACCA candidacy or membership is an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Russian.
