Receiving Clerk – Logistics & Guest Services

About the role

The Receiving Clerk supports Marriott International's operations in Astana by handling all inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, and providing courteous service to guests receiving packages. This full‑time, onsite position combines logistics duties with guest interaction in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and process deliveries, matching items to invoices and receiving reports.
• Stage merchandise by department, label appropriately, and deliver to the correct locations.
• Verify and track inventory, completing inventory reports and logs.
• Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
• Receive, store, ship and deliver internal department packages and mail.
• Secure the receiving room and safeguard all packages.
• Follow national, state and local hazardous‑material shipping guidelines.
• Ship outgoing mail and packages, verifying quantity and condition.
• Communicate with guests about received packages and obtain signatures.
• Report any loss, damage, accidents or unsafe conditions to management.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
