Proposal Engineer – Electrical Heat Tracing Solutions

About the role

Chemelex is seeking a Proposal Engineer with an electrical engineering background to develop and deliver technical solutions for electric heat tracing projects. The role combines engineering design, tender preparation, and close collaboration with sales and regional teams to support customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for electric heat tracing system projects using state‑of‑the‑art engineering practices and automation tools.
• Review and analyse customer inquiries from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Prepare tender documentation that meets customer requirements and internal procedures.
• Collect input data and prepare design specifications for heat tracing calculations.
• Apply relevant technical regulations, construction standards, and electrical equipment operating requirements.
• Coordinate technical solutions with other engineering disciplines across the project.
• Provide technical consultation and support to the sales team throughout the proposal process.
• Analyse third‑party product inquiries, including distribution panels, cables, and cable tray systems.
• Maintain communication with regional proposal teams and report progress to management.
• Assist in marketing and training events to promote Chemelex products and brand awareness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English; good knowledge of Kazakh and Russian (verbal and written).
• Experience in electrical engineering design or power supply system design for medium to low complexity facilities (advantage).
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities, including business negotiation skills.
