Placing Specialist – Remote Order Management

About the role

Xometry is seeking a Placing Specialist to manage production order execution through its network of manufacturing partners. The role involves supervising order processing, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring timely delivery while handling any issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise processing of production orders and maintain documentation in internal CRM and ERP systems.
• Select suitable contractors from the production partner database.
• Control dates, dispatch, organize delivery, and perform quality checks on products.
• Track payments and work directly with customers.
• Resolve problems and special cases with customers and manufacturers during order processing.
• Achieve results despite difficulties encountered.

Required profile

• Fluent English business correspondence (B2 level or higher).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or order management.
• Willingness to work overtime and be available for urgent questions outside business hours.
• Ready to solve non‑standard problems and systematise own work.
• Stable home office setup with reliable internet and ability to join conference calls.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with transactional IT systems for sales, production, and logistics automation.
