Manual QA Engineer (Mobile) – Full Remote

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join its mobile team on a fully remote basis. You will work on a portfolio of social entertainment platforms, ensuring high‑quality user experiences across iOS and Android applications.

Key responsibilities

• Understand app features, workflows, business rules and backend/API dependencies.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test cases and checklists for all mobile functionalities.
• Perform manual functional, integration, UI/UX, exploratory and regression testing on real devices, simulators and emulators.
• Validate end‑to‑end workflows across mobile, backend APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Execute smoke/sanity tests for new builds and pre‑release validation, including store release verification.
• Support UAT, report defects with detailed logs and reproducible steps.
• Set up and maintain automation frameworks (UI + API) and automate core workflows.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and generate comprehensive test reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mobile app testing on iOS and Android (real devices, emulators, cloud devices).
• Experience writing and executing test cases, scenarios and checklists.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and REST/GraphQL testing.
• Fluent in English and Russian.

Required skills

• Automation tools/frameworks: Appium, Flutter Driver, Detox, Selenium, Maestro.
• CI/CD platforms: Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Jenkins (optional).
• Version control: Git.
• Defect tracking: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr.
• Scripting/programming: JavaScript, Python, Dart (or similar).
