Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will organise and control the transportation, export and import of JTI’s goods, including tobacco, non‑tobacco, test materials, spare parts, equipment and finished products. You will ensure timely delivery to warehouses and provide detailed shipment information to internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute transport orders from request to delivery, ensuring compliance with schedules and product nomenclature.
• Provide detailed arrival information to warehouse staff at least three working days before cargo arrival.
• Track shipments at all stages, verify accompanying documentation, and supply customs paperwork in advance.
• Coordinate with transport providers, prepare transport requests, analyse rates and verify vehicle capacity.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to select carriers and obtain approval from the line manager.
• Create Purchase Requests (PR) in SAP or ensure conditions are set in purchase orders.
• Secure timely invoices, tax invoices and service completion certificates from transport service providers and forward them to the logistics document coordinator.

Required profile

• Higher education degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar logistics role.
• Fluent in Russian and English (intermediate level).
• Strong knowledge of transport logistics standards, packaging, and freight movement principles.
• Understanding of contract management with transport service providers.
• Responsibility, punctuality, result‑orientation.
