JV Accounting Manager

About the role

TotalEnergies Renewables is looking for a JV Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for the Mirny renewable energy project in Astana, Kazakhstan. The role ensures reliable project accounting, timely reporting and full compliance with Kazakh accounting and tax legislation, while aligning with TotalEnergies standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate project accounting, financial reports and tax declarations for the Mirny project.
• Maintain compliance with the Law on Accounting and Financial Statements of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee daily general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury & logistics, fixed assets, taxes and cash management processes.
• Organise and control the collection, archiving and electronic issuance of primary documents and tax invoices.
• Monitor changes in accounting legislation and implement system updates and internal controls.
• Prepare and approve financial, statistical and other statutory statements.
• Supervise external accounting consultants and support internal/external audits.
• Participate in period‑end closing, budgeting, inventory of assets and contract approval processes.
• Foster constructive relationships with clients, suppliers and internal divisions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Kazakh accounting and tax legislation.
• Proven experience in project or joint‑venture accounting within the energy sector.
• Ability to manage and coordinate external consultants and audit activities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
