Innovation Associate – Startup Scouting & Client Management

About the role

The Associate will drive Plug and Play’s innovation pipeline by managing client‑facing projects, scouting startups, and supporting investment deals. This full‑time position is based in Almaty and works closely with corporate partners and emerging ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead startup scouting and selection aligned with client needs, delivering benchmarking, ecosystem and trend analysis reports.
• Maintain data accuracy and a consistent pipeline of relevant startups while supporting deal teams on new investments.
• Execute startup‑client matchmaking sessions, manage event logistics and ensure delivery excellence.
• Coordinate startup participation and readiness for client meetings.
• Mentor Junior Associates and Interns, share best practices and contribute to vertical growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MBA, Finance or related) preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with significant relevant experience.
• 2‑3 years of experience in venture capital, consulting, innovation or client‑facing project management.
• Proven ability to deliver measurable outcomes and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Full professional fluency in English; additional language is a strong advantage.
