About the role

Headshots.com is looking for experienced retouchers to refine professional headshots captured on smartphones. The role involves delivering natural, high-quality edits at scale while preserving realistic skin texture and consistent visual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Retouch professional headshots from mobile photos, correcting skin tone, noise, lighting, exposure, and soft focus.
• Remove or reduce glasses glare while maintaining realism.
• Perform seamless background swaps and composites.
• Maintain consistency and quality across large batches of images.
• Deliver work on time, meeting daily/weekly volume expectations.
• Follow established retouching guidelines and apply feedback efficiently.
• Communicate any issues that may affect timelines or quality.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in natural skin retouching with texture preservation.
• Precise hair masking and edge work without halos.
• Ability to create realistic background composites.
• Excellent color correction and exposure balancing, especially in mixed lighting.
• Strict adherence to non-destructive Photoshop workflows (adjustment layers, layer masks, smart objects).
• Effective time management to handle high-volume batches.

Required skills

• Adobe Photoshop (full, licensed version).
• Graphics tablet (Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen or similar).
• High-quality display calibrated to sRGB (DCI-P3 a plus).
• MacBook Pro Retina or equivalent PC with accurate monitor.
