Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the engineering oversight of a large‑scale renewable energy project in Zhanaikhan Town, Turkistan Region, Kazakhstan. The role involves ensuring compliance with international standards, reviewing design documents, and supporting the EPC contractor throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply required standards and specifications for the project.
• Review and comment on design concepts, single‑line diagrams, load lists, and other key engineering documents.
• Validate EPC contractor capability, monitor progress, and recommend technical support where gaps exist.
• Perform overall systems design, engineering calculations, and independent technical assessments.
• Provide technical guidance to the site team during execution and monitor performance of electrical and electronic systems.
• Ensure equipment compliance with contractual, IEC, IEEE, and UL standards, covering PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, battery systems, PCS, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, and protection devices.
• Review and approve manuals, operating instructions, and construction documentation to guarantee safe start‑up and operation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in renewable energy or power projects, preferably on the client side.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience as an Owner’s Engineer, Lender’s Engineer, or Independent Engineer.
• Fluent in Chinese and English.

Required skills

• Solar PV engineering and EPC contract frameworks.
• Electrical single‑line diagrams, load lists, and P&ID review.
• Equipment specification and datasheet analysis.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and UL standards.
• Design of PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, battery systems, PCS, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, and protection systems.
• Design calculations, cause‑effect matrices, control panel and building layout drawings.
