About the role
The Driver is part of the Fund Administration Unit of the OSCE Programme Office, providing transportation and logistical support for the Head of Mission and programme activities in Almaty. The role includes daily vehicle maintenance, handling official documents, and making small office purchases.
Key responsibilities
- Transport authorised personnel, collect and deliver mail, documents and other items, and meet officials at the airport.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle – check oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, keep it clean and log mileage, fuel consumption and service actions.
- Collect necessary documents from suppliers after events and forward them to the Office.
- Make small purchases for the office and programmes and arrange necessary office items.
Required profile
- Primary education and a valid Category B driver’s licence with a safe driving record.
- Minimum four years of professional driving experience, preferably in an international organisation.
- Good knowledge of Almaty and its surroundings, strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy with practical experience in Microsoft Office applications.
Required skills
- Minor vehicle repair.
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Evasive driving techniques and basic close‑protection courtesies.
