Director – Regional Portfolio & Innovation

About the role

Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking a Director to lead the operational execution and financial performance of its regional portfolio in Almaty. The role will drive revenue, manage margins, and act as the public face of the organization across corporate and government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Maximize portfolio value by executing strategies to meet growth and margin targets.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of corporate and government partners, securing long‑term ecosystem growth.
• Lead business development activities, align regional revenue goals with global strategy, and close major deals.
• Represent Plug and Play at regional tech events, fostering brand awareness and stakeholder relationships.
• Design and approve bi‑annual 12‑week accelerator curricula, ensuring sector‑specific relevance and high value for startups.
• Evaluate high‑potential investment opportunities and lead regional due‑diligence processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in portfolio management, business development, or corporate partnership roles.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue and margin objectives.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with corporate, government, and startup communities.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage complex accelerator programs.
