Developer‑Programmer for the Department of Digitalization and Public Services

About the role

The Department of Digitalization and Public Services is seeking a motivated developer‑programmer to support and enhance its information systems. The role involves maintaining existing applications, developing new solutions, and ensuring reliable operation of government‑level IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process statistical data on system failures and incidents.
• Administer the e‑Future scholarship management system and the electronic document circulation system.
• Perform timely data backup and restoration according to established guidelines.
• Carry out technical and application administration of servers hosting public service systems.
• Develop and implement data backup policies and monitor disk space usage.
• Automate business processes by developing, supporting, and maintaining information systems.
• Develop, build, and manage the department’s websites.
• Provide continuous operation, technical support, and data integrity for document‑flow automation systems.

Required profile

• Higher education in a relevant field (or post‑secondary technical qualification) with at least two years of work experience; one year if postgraduate studies abroad.
• Fluent in Kazakh and Russian; knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kazakhstan’s ICT legislation and security regulations.
