Depot Director

About the role

The Depot Director leads all depot operations for GSM Kazakhstan’s ride‑hailing service, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high‑quality execution. The role is accountable for operational performance, driver supply and engagement, profitability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall operational performance of assigned depot(s), develop and execute operational plans aligned with company strategy.
• Monitor daily driver, fleet, and customer‑support activities to ensure smooth execution and capacity planning.
• Manage depot KPIs such as driver utilization, trip fulfillment, service quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Drive driver acquisition, onboarding, activation, retention, and issue resolution while building strong driver community relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors, Team Leads, and support staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, local regulations, safety standards, and internal audit requirements.
• Oversee depot budget, resource allocation, inventory, facilities, and identify automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing depot or large‑scale operations within the transportation or logistics sector.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
• Ability to analyze operational data, set KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in driver engagement, compliance management, and budget oversight.
