Communications Analyst

About the role

The Communications Analyst will support UNDP Kazakhstan in shaping and delivering its communication strategy to influence the national development agenda, raise public and media awareness, and mobilize political and financial support for UNDP programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies, including media engagement and social media plans.
• Lead the design, production, and maintenance of the UNDP website, intranet, and social media platforms.
• Conduct communications needs assessments and create outreach strategies aligned with UNDP’s Country Programme.
• Supervise communication specialists, consultants, and external vendors for publications and events.
• Coordinate public information campaigns, roundtables, press conferences, and joint UN communication activities.

Required profile

• Experience working in a multinational or development environment, collaborating with government, donors, media, and civil society.
• Ability to provide strategic advice on integrating communication components into programmes and projects.
