Area Commercial Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

As the Area Commercial Manager you will drive commercial performance and growth for all Zara Home stores across Kazakhstan. You will spend significant time on the shop floor, partnering with Store Managers and the corporate office to deliver strong sales results, operational excellence, and an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Store Managers and their teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
• Manage sales budgets, monitor KPIs and create action plans to improve sales, productivity, operating margin and profitability.
• Ensure high standards of customer service, product presentation, store image, health & safety and daily operations.
• Oversee loss‑control processes, including stock loss, inventory, theft prevention and cash management.
• Conduct regular store visits to review processes, identify improvement opportunities and enforce company standards.
• Support new store openings and participate in talent identification, training and assessment activities.
• Collaborate closely with commercial, product, HR and operational teams and contribute to sustainability and brand‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in regional or multi‑store management within fashion or home‑goods retail.
• Strong commercial and analytical abilities, with experience handling sales budgets, profitability, KPIs and action planning.
• Demonstrated people‑development and leadership skills.
• Experience in customer service, operations, product merchandising and loss control.
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Kazakhstan.
• Conversational level of English.
