Android Tech Lead (Delivery Quality Team)

About the role

Delivery Hub, a business unit of inDrive, is scaling its delivery product across new markets with an AI‑first engineering approach. We are seeking an Android Tech Lead to combine hands‑on development with leadership, driving team delivery, technical direction, and solution quality while mentoring engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business needs into a technical strategy with measurable outcomes and align with global company strategy.
• Identify and propose architectural and technical improvements across the product and platform using data‑driven trade‑off analysis.
• Advocate, present, and defend technical solutions at the organizational level in collaboration with Product, Data, Security, SRE, and other stakeholders.
• Lead technical research and implementation to create or improve services and systems.
• Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code following company standards and improve code‑review processes.
• Own and enhance the Android development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and feature‑flag management.
• Mentor engineers, conduct regular 1:1s, and create processes for knowledge sharing and collaborative work.
• Decompose tasks, contribute to engineering guidelines, and increase reuse of best practices across teams.

Required profile

• Proven record of mentoring and technical leadership, shaping processes, and raising engineering quality across teams.
• AI‑first mindset with readiness to adopt AI tools in engineering processes.
• Real backend development experience is a strong plus.

• Clean Architecture, MVI / MVVM / MVP patterns
• Client‑server interaction, API design, networking
• Telemetry, dashboards, automated alerts for production systems
