Ukrainian Team Lead – AI Quality Assurance

About the role

This hourly, remote contractor position is for a Ukrainian Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) who will oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across AI training projects. You will review AI‑generated Ukrainian content, provide precise feedback, and ensure contributors meet project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Spot‑check Ukrainian items, identify quality issues and provide feedback via Discord.
• Communicate updates, guidelines, and workflow changes to trainers and QAs.
• Respond to trainer/QA questions on language, grammar, cultural context, and edge cases.
• Activate and follow up with inactive contributors, tracking availability.
• Create and maintain project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct onboarding and training calls to explain expectations, rubrics, and style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of Ukrainian language guidelines across the team.
• Identify recurring quality gaps and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Ukrainian, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance or related field.
• Native or near‑native Ukrainian proficiency with strong reading and writing skills.
• Strong English skills for following guidelines and providing feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Ukrainian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or related workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers or QAs is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Discord for communication.
• Experience using Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers and dashboards.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and identify linguistic issues.
