Solutions Engineer – Cybersecurity

About the role

The Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer will provide technical sales support and recommendations on Cisco’s Security Solutions Portfolio. Working closely with customers, partners and internal teams, you will articulate the value of Cisco’s integrated security architecture across hybrid cloud, trusted access, security operations and IoT.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, industry trends and best practices to convey solution value.
• Collaborate with sales to deliver tailored presentations and demos that address specific customer challenges.
• Build strong relationships with prospective customers, partners and decision‑makers, listening to their needs and proposing inclusive security strategies.
• Conduct detailed assessments of customer environments, identify gaps, and propose customized security solutions.
• Work with product management, engineering and marketing to feed back market insights and influence product development.

Required profile

• Excellent understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies and best practices.
• Proven track record in a pre‑sales or technical sales role within the cybersecurity industry.
• Industry certifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CCSP or Cisco CCIE Security are highly regarded.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
