Service Application Specialist

About the role

Roche is looking for a Service Application Specialist to join its Diagnostics Professional Service team in Kazakhstan. You will act as the primary liaison for laboratory customers, delivering hands‑on training, on‑site support, and expert application assistance across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality, hands‑on training for laboratory personnel on instrument operation, software, and assay workflows.
• Assist during installation and start‑up phases of new instruments to ensure smooth client transitions.
• Provide expert troubleshooting, optimize laboratory workflows, and deliver first‑level application support on‑site, by phone, or remotely.
• Collaborate closely with Service Engineers and Marketing teams to maximize customer satisfaction and system uptime.
• Stay up‑to‑date with technical updates and emerging trends in medical diagnostics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biotechnologies, biomedical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory practice or experience with automated laboratory equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, project‑management experience, and consultative customer skills.
• Fluency in Kazakh, Russian and English (technical level).
• Willingness to travel 50‑70% of the time and work independently in the field.
