Senior Project Manager – Mining Technology

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high‑value mining technology projects in Almaty. You will work with a global leader in sustainable mining solutions, driving projects from concept through delivery while ensuring safety, quality and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex, high‑value projects, managing scope, schedule and budget.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of direct reports, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Identify process gaps and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives across project management practices.
• Partner with commercial teams during bidding, providing input on feasibility, contractual risk and operational implications.
• Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with Weir’s zero‑harm principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience managing complex projects in engineered‑product B2B or capital‑project environments.
• At least 3 years experience leading teams within cross‑functional or matrix organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
• Proven track record of delivering projects balancing technical, commercial and operational priorities.
• Experience in mining, minerals processing, EPC or large‑scale engineering environments is a plus.
