Senior Performance Engineer

About the role

The QA Load team at indrive is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to ensure the performance and scalability of services throughout their lifecycle. You will design and execute load tests, model real‑world usage, and work closely with SRE, DevOps, and product engineering to make performance a core quality attribute.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct performance audits and support Go/No‑Go decisions for new services.
• Design and execute global load‑testing strategies using k6, JMeter and custom DSL frameworks.
• Model expected traffic (RPS, concurrent users, data distribution) and validate capacity plans.
• Identify, analyze, and remediate bottlenecks in back‑end code, databases, messaging systems, and network layers.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and backend teams to implement optimisations and verify improvements.
• Prepare services for production traffic, run stress tests, and define autoscaling policies.
• Set up, audit, and operate performance‑testing infrastructure, including geo‑distributed load generators.
• Apply a performance‑analyst mindset: form hypotheses, design experiments, run tests, and draw data‑driven conclusions.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in performance engineering, load testing, or reliability engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate latency, RPS, p95/p99 metrics into business impact.
• Hands‑on experience working with SRE, DevOps, and backend teams in a fast‑paced environment.
