Senior Corporate Tax Consultant

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Corporate Tax team in Almaty (also covering Astana). You will work on complex tax projects, guiding clients through planning, compliance and strategic structuring while ensuring adherence to local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medium and high‑complexity tax projects, including consulting, structuring, review, due diligence and compliance.
• Organise project teams, motivate members and ensure successful delivery of results.
• Train and evaluate junior consultants, providing feedback and guidance.
• Support senior staff in business development and project matters.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of tax consulting experience at the Consultant level, or 3‑4 years of accounting experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects independently.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and research skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and the local language.

Required skills

• Experience with 1C accounting software (other accounting tools a plus).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
