Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

indrive is looking for experienced Senior Backend Engineers to join product teams and drive the design, implementation, and scaling of core backend services. You will work autonomously on high‑load systems, ensuring reliability and performance across multiple product areas.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement complex business logic in Golang with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Create optimal SQL database schemas, manage indexes, and tune queries for high‑load environments.
• Build asynchronous service interactions using Kafka and maintain robust inter‑service communication.
• Own the full lifecycle of backend services, from delivery to production monitoring and maintenance.
• Write clean, well‑structured code, conduct code reviews, and follow architectural decision records (ADR) and engineering best practices.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing) and participate in post‑mortem analyses.
• Automate routine tasks and contribute to internal libraries and tooling.
• Mentor new team members, share expertise, and continuously improve technical implementations.

Required profile

• 6+ years of commercial backend engineering experience, preferably in high‑load systems.
• 4+ years of hands‑on Golang development, using advanced language features.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including schema design, replication, partitioning, and sharding.
• Deep understanding of Redis data structures and their efficient use.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes (or similar orchestration platforms).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS.
• Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive observability strategies.
