Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer

About the role

Social Discovery Group is looking for a Senior Atlassian Platform Engineer to manage and evolve its Jira Server/Data Center, Confluence and Atlassian Cloud environments. You will ensure platform stability, automate administrative tasks and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Jira Server/Data Center, Confluence and Atlassian Cloud, including configuration of workflows, permissions, dashboards, JQL, automations, integrations and plugins.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, handle upgrades, housekeeping and incident resolution.
• Reduce configuration debt and improve governance across the Atlassian suite.
• Automate routine tasks using ScriptRunner, REST API and scripting languages (Groovy, Python, Bash).
• Work closely with Infra, SRE, DBA and engineering teams to resolve system and performance problems.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience administering Jira Server or Data Center and Confluence.
• Hands‑on expertise with Jira workflows, permissions, custom fields, dashboards, JQL and reporting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot server issues, analyze logs, address indexing bottlenecks and manage plugins.
• Understanding of Jira architecture, JVM basics and performance impact of customizations.
• Fluent Russian and at least intermediate English (B1).
