Project Manager – Medium & Low Voltage Projects

About the role

Siemens is seeking a Project Manager to lead medium‑ and low‑voltage electrical distribution projects in Almaty. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe, on‑time delivery that supports the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from contract hand‑over to final hand‑over, controlling scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, commissioning and other internal functions.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, plants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare and review technical documentation such as single‑line diagrams, specifications and schematics.
• Monitor manufacturing progress, equipment deliveries and overall execution.
• Identify risks, manage changes and implement corrective actions.
• Lead project meetings, produce reports and support FAT, installation, commissioning and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the power industry.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in an international environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of medium‑ and low‑voltage equipment (switchgear, switchboards, vacuum circuit breakers, transformers, protection & control systems).
• Basic understanding of relay protection and automation.
• Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
• Project management certification (PMP®, PRINCE2®, IPMA®) is a plus.
