Project Manager

About the role

Metso is seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of major customer contracts from approval through final close‑out. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards while supporting Metso’s sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of major contracts from approval to close‑out, following Metso processes and governance.
• Develop and monitor project plans, budgets, schedules and cash‑flow forecasts, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and field execution activities.
• Review drawings, specifications and requisitions for contract compliance.
• Resolve technical, commercial, client and subcontractor issues.
• Build trusted customer relationships and identify value‑added technical solutions.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead risk and issue identification, governance and lessons‑learned activities.
• Support post‑project handovers, warranty management and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mining, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven project‑management experience in industrial, engineering, manufacturing, construction or capital‑equipment environments.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
