Operations Director – FMCG Manufacturing

About the role

The Operations Director will lead the performance of a modern FMCG manufacturing site, driving operational efficiency, manufacturing excellence and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Full operational management of the manufacturing site and production cycle, delivering volume, SKU and shift targets.
• Improve OEE, reduce downtime, waste and production losses while implementing Lean Manufacturing and a continuous‑improvement culture.
• Lead Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Logistics and Maintenance teams, ensuring process stability, product quality and compliance with HACCP, Halal and local regulations.
• Support new product launches, raw‑material trials and manage production costs, energy consumption and manufacturing efficiency.

Required profile

• 10+ years in FMCG manufacturing, with 5+ years in senior plant‑management or operations leadership.
• Proven experience in multi‑shift production, launching or scaling facilities, and working in greenfield or resource‑constrained environments.
• Fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English, with strong leadership, people‑management and change‑management capabilities.
