National Consultant – Seasonal Worker Scheme Information Materials

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a National Consultant to develop concise, practical information materials on the United Kingdom Seasonal Worker Scheme (SWS). The consultant will create a factsheet that equips public service providers and prospective migrant workers in Kazakhstan with up‑to‑date guidance on recruitment, visa procedures, tax refunds, and workers’ rights.

Key responsibilities

• Draft a comprehensive SWS factsheet (max 10 A4 pages) based on existing PDO modules.
• Ensure the content covers recruitment pathways, visa processes, official operators, tax refunds, safe migration practices, and workers’ rights and responsibilities.
• Deliver training sessions to national public service providers on the use of the factsheet.
• Collaborate with the Chief of Mission in Kazakhstan and the Project Manager for supervision and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Deep, practical knowledge of Kazakhstan’s labour‑mobility landscape and recruitment fraud typologies.
• Strong familiarity with UK Seasonal Worker Scheme regulations.
• Proven experience in developing informational materials for migrant populations.
• Excellent written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced writing and editing abilities in English.
• Knowledge of UK SWS policies and migration best practices.
• Ability to synthesize complex regulatory information into clear, user‑friendly formats.
• Experience delivering training or capacity‑building sessions.
