Music Teacher

About the role

SABIS International School in Astana is looking for a Music Teacher within its Teaching & Academics department. The teacher ensures students' success by implementing the SABIS curriculum and philosophy and using the SABIS teaching methods. The school is part of a global network present in 21 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Teach classes using the provided lesson plans (and develop them from pacing charts where needed) so that the SABIS point system can be used.
• Mark exams according to the schedule and materials provided by the department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System in the classroom and proctor exams in a properly managed environment.
• Support low-performing students through guidance and motivation.
• Help prepare students for external exams by reviewing past papers according to the revision schedule.
• Take part in activities such as art, open houses and physical education, coordinating with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions when requested by school management.
• Aid with duties such as testing, substitution, organizing students for lunch and buses, and other administrative tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject, or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Expert, Researcher or Master classification preferred.
• English proficiency.
• Professional behaviour, ethics, accountability, excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
