Mechanical Engineer – Mountain Resort Development (Almaty)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our PMC team for a major mountain resort development in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The role involves overseeing mechanical systems across hotels, restaurants, public buildings, ski‑lift stations, artificial lakes, snowmaking infrastructure, and resort utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead early‑phase design reviews for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and pressurization systems.
• Supervise full construction, testing, and commissioning of building services.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and manage documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 + years of mechanical engineering or building services experience.
• Proven PMC or client‑side project experience, preferably on Kazakhstan projects.
• Background in hospitality, master‑plan communities, or large‑scale resort developments.
• Fluent in English and Russian.
• Almaty‑based candidates preferred; ski‑resort or cold‑climate experience is a plus.
