Laboratory Technician Specialist – FCC Catalyst Analysis

About the role

Grace is seeking a Technician Specialist to support FCC catalyst characterization and catalytic testing in the Atyrau Ecat Laboratory. The role focuses on performing chemical analyses, operating and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment, and managing sample data while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct standard and non‑standard chemical analysis of FCC catalysts and related samples.
• Operate and maintain FCC testing equipment such as XRF Spectrometer, Laser Scatter PSD Analyzer, Nitrogen Sorption Analyzer, and Density Analysis instruments.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Log customer and internal samples and enter measurement data into the laboratory information management system.
• Approve customer‑relevant measurement results independently.
• Ensure adherence to internal and external safety, environmental, and quality guidelines (DIN EN ISO 9001/14001).

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent laboratory technician apprenticeship with relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of FCC catalyst characterization and test methods.
• Familiarity with ISO quality and environmental standards.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
