Global Legal Associate

About the role

RemoFirst is seeking a Global Legal Associate to support its fast‑growing global HR platform. You will manage corporate legal obligations, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and assist with international expansion, immigration, and employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual corporate filings, franchise taxes, business licenses, and regulatory compliance tracking.
• Review, draft, negotiate and execute NDAs, service agreements, reseller contracts, partner documentation, and vendor contracts.
• Support international expansion by liaising with local counsel, corporate service providers, and internal stakeholders on regulatory and employment issues.
• Assist with immigration, visa, and global mobility processes, ensuring compliance for cross‑border workforce arrangements.
• Conduct multi‑jurisdictional legal research on employment models, EOR/PEO services, licensing, and corporate governance.
• Handle employment‑related matters such as terminations, settlements, compliance reviews, and escalation management.
• Maintain and improve internal legal trackers, compliance databases, contract repositories, and document management systems.
• Contribute to process optimisation, workflow automation, template standardisation, and knowledge‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law or Legal Studies.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a corporate, commercial or compliance legal role (in‑house or law firm).
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, contracts and employment matters.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across jurisdictions.
• High attention to detail, proactive work style and comfort collaborating across global time zones.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
