Fixed Asset Accountant

About the role

GSM Kazakhstan is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and compliance with accounting standards. The role supports month‑end and year‑end closing and collaborates with multiple internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all fixed asset transactions, including acquisition, transfer, depreciation, and disposal, while keeping registers up to date.
• Reconcile fixed asset registers with the general ledger and physical asset records, and prepare schedules and reports for management and audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards, support physical asset verification and variance analysis, and prepare audit documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement, IT, Facilities, and Operations on asset‑related activities and assist with budgeting and asset tracking initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in fixed‑asset accounting or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of depreciation methods and asset accounting principles.
• Experience using ERP or other accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with a high level of accuracy.
