Field Application Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

Delta is seeking a highly skilled Field Application Engineer to lead product application, technical service operations, training programs, and support activities for its Industrial Automation product line. The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership and service excellence to ensure customers receive optimal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead advanced technical support for VFD, PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Mechatronics products.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and resolve customer issues.
• Define and standardize service procedures, troubleshooting workflows, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Quality teams to improve products and services.
• Oversee regional service operations, ensuring SLA compliance and high customer satisfaction.
• Manage escalations, emergency response activities, and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Support installation, commissioning, maintenance planning, and lifecycle management.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives for service efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in Process Control and Variable Speed Drives.
• Proven background in commissioning, troubleshooting, technical training, and service operations management.
• Strong leadership and ability to work cross‑functionally.
