Environmental Supervisor

About the role

The Environmental Supervisor will lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the site’s Environmental Management System (EMS). You will ensure compliance with Kazakhstani legislation, corporate standards and ISO 14001, while driving sustainability initiatives across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and upkeep of the EMS and ISO 14001 management system.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, risk assessments and compliance assessments.
• Monitor performance indicators such as waste, water, energy, emissions and GHGs.
• Manage waste handling, hazardous material control, and disposal in line with legal requirements.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, sampling, laboratory testing and reporting.
• Investigate incidents, spills and non‑conformances and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare permits, registers, reporting packages and maintain compliance documentation.
• Lead environmental awareness campaigns and training programs.
• Support environmental aspects assessments for new projects, equipment changes and capital works.
• Interact with authorities, auditors, consultants and certification bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sciences, Ecology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of environmental experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in Kazakh and Russian; intermediate English.
• Environmental Auditor qualification or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
