Deputy Head of Operations – Aviation (AHKE)

About the role

The Deputy Head of Operations (AHKE) will work closely with the CEO to develop and execute strategic plans for the partnership, ensuring aircraft maintenance and customer service meet Airbus Helicopters standards. This senior position requires strong expertise in aviation operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all aircraft maintenance activities, aligning schedules with customer requirements and Airbus Helicopters standards.
• Manage customer relationships, performance forecasting, and communication with program offices.
• Lead the technical team, ensuring staffing levels match workload capacity.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement KPIs.
• Oversee quality and safety compliance, including Safety Management System (SMS) and aviation legislation.
• Support production to guarantee timely deliveries and provide regular activity follow‑up.
• Develop and communicate growth strategies, motivate staff, and manage performance.
• Represent the company at public events and maintain awareness of market trends and competitors.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in production, customer service, repairs, or logistics, preferably in the aeronautics sector.
• Knowledge of Kazakh and international civil aviation regulations.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair, especially Airbus products.
• Understanding of quality, safety standards, basic finance, economics, labor law, and organization.
• Fluent English.
• Qualifications aligned with the cooperation agreement between Airbus Helicopters and Kazakhstan Engineering.
