Corporate Attorney – Kazakhstan Base

About the role

The position supports corporate governance, entity administration and legal coordination for a multinational operating in Kazakhstan, the Middle East, North Africa and the Caspian region. The attorney will work closely with internal stakeholders, external counsel and government authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage entity registrations, director appointments, trade‑license amendments and maintain corporate records across multiple jurisdictions.
• Draft, execute and renew powers of attorney for company representatives in the MENA and Caspian regions.
• Prepare and review commercial contracts, parent company guarantees, certificates of authorization and financial confirmation letters for tender submissions.
• Compile corporate documentation for client pre‑qualification, liaise with government‑relations and business‑development teams.
• Support regional counsel on litigation, customs appeals and employment disputes, including document collection and case tracking.
• Oversee production, custody and use of company seals and stamps for regional entities.
• Handle agency and branch registrations, work‑permit and migration matters, and manage external counsel invoices and budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or related field; legal diploma or paralegal qualification is a strong advantage.
• 5–7 years of experience in corporate law, legal coordination or paralegal work within oil & gas, energy or heavy industry, preferably multinational.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks in Kazakhstan, the broader Caspian region and MENA countries.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Russian and/or Kazakh required; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East and Caspian regions as needed.
