Consulting Team Lead – Consulting Services (EOI)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Consulting Team Lead to expand its specialist consultancy business in Kazakhstan. The role focuses on asset health, integrity management, automation and systems integration for oil and gas operators.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Wood’s engineering services in Kazakhstan.
• Drive local business development and build a portfolio of work with major clients.
• Support tendering teams by preparing cost, time and resource quotations and technical proposals.
• Plan, resource and execute consultancy work‑scopes using local and global teams.
• Manage budgeting, intercompany agreements and invoicing.
• Coordinate with clients, Wood and third‑party stakeholders to ensure smooth technical delivery and cost control.
• Grow and lead a local delivery team, handling recruitment, onboarding and nationalisation plans.
• Liaise with support functions such as HR, finance, cost control and HSEQ.
• Provide audit support and handle urgent out‑of‑hours issues.

Required profile

• Engineering or Management degree with practical oil and gas experience.
• Proven experience in operational integrity management or maintenance within the O&G sector.
• Significant experience managing technical work‑scopes.
• Understanding of international engineering consultancy models and commercial remuneration.
• Knowledge of the Kazakh market is an advantage.
