Chief Accountant

About the role

inVision is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function in Kazakhstan. You will be responsible for organizing accounting and tax records, ensuring compliance with local legislation, and providing reliable financial information for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and oversee accounting and tax records in line with Kazakhstani law.
• Develop and implement the organisation's accounting policies.
• Ensure accurate recording of business transactions and timely preparation of primary accounting documents.
• Prepare and submit mandatory financial, tax, statistical and other reports.
• Monitor financial discipline, resource efficiency and conduct financial analysis.
• Oversee tax calculations, payments and interactions with tax authorities.
• Lead the accounting department, allocate duties and support professional development.
• Implement internal financial controls and risk‑management procedures.
• Provide management with reliable financial data and support contract preparation.
• Safeguard accounting documents, manage archival storage and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional accountant and tax consultant certifications.
• More than 5 years of accounting experience, including senior or chief‑accountant roles.
• In‑depth knowledge of Kazakhstani accounting standards and tax legislation (VAT, corporate income tax, etc.).
