Associate / Senior Associate – Financial Services (Central Asia)

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Central Asia Financial Services practice and seeks experienced Associate or Senior Associate finance professionals. The role supports banks, fintech companies, insurance firms, micro‑finance institutions and payment services across Turkey, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workstreams, including work plans, timelines, responsibilities and task lists, ensuring progress stays on track.
• Coordinate team and client participants by preparing meetings, documenting agreements and following up on tasks.
• Prepare clear materials such as calculation tables, presentations and memos for client leadership.
• Negotiate priorities, remove obstacles and help implement solutions.
• Support launches and pilots, gather feedback, measure impact and assist in scaling successful solutions.
• Engage with subject‑matter areas including retail products, business services, treasury tasks and funding issues alongside the practice leader.

Required profile

• Organise work, keep the team focused on priorities and maintain accurate plans and status updates.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, negotiate with stakeholders and produce concise emails and meeting notes.
• Work with numbers: verify calculations, analyse product economics and assess sensitivity metrics.
• Create visually clear presentations and documents for leadership.
• Independently manage 2–3 workstreams simultaneously and proactively identify risks with clear mitigation plans.
• Willingness to travel within the region; fluency in Russian and English.
