Associate Instrument & Control Designer

About the role

Wood is seeking an Associate Instrument & Control Designer to join its Operations team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. The role supports oil and gas petrochemical projects by preparing accurate engineering drawings and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project drawings and documents from supplied basic data using appropriate design software.
• Ensure designs conform to technical specifications, codes, standards and engineering procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers and keep the Document Management System up‑to‑date.
• Execute assigned scopes of work and provide discipline expertise to the business.
• Perform engineering assignments with limited guidance, producing deliverables that may include complex tasks.
• Conduct site surveys and issue reports when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
• Hold a valid Kazakhstan passport.
• Experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.

Required skills

• Instrumentation design and control system design.
• Project drawing preparation using engineering software.
• Document management and drawing register maintenance.
