Associate – Economic Growth Project

About the role

We are looking for an Associate to support the Government of Kazakhstan in delivering an ambitious economic growth and foreign investment agenda. The role will involve designing workstreams in priority sectors, collaborating directly with senior officials in the Presidential Administration, ministries and financial institutions, and working alongside global experts from the Tony Blair Institute.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and data analysis to inform policy recommendations.
• Monitor industry trends and data sources to provide up‑to‑date advice.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of existing government programmes and propose improvements.
• Prepare client‑friendly reports, presentations and visualisations using PowerPoint and Word.
• Contribute to establishing the Institute’s start‑up office in Kazakhstan by building local networks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Interest in economic policy, government advisory and international development.
