Assistant Professor in Engineering Management (Supply Chain & Operations)

About the role

Nazarbayev University in Astana is recruiting an Assistant Professor in Engineering Management with a focus on Supply Chain and Operations Management. The post sits within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and involves teaching, research and supervision of students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain and Operations Management
• Carry out high-quality research and publish in top-tier journals
• Supervise student projects and research, helping students combine supply chain theory with practice
• Contribute to the Engineering Management program curriculum
• Work with industry partners to connect research with real-world supply chain and logistics problems

Required profile

• PhD in Engineering Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a closely related field
• Demonstrated research record with publications in recognized journals
• Experience teaching and mentoring at university level
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills

Required skills

• Professional certification in CSCP, CPIM, CLTD, CPSM or similar is highly desirable
