Area Sales Manager – Kazakhstan

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will drive demand growth and market penetration for Hitachi Energy in Kazakhstan. Based in Almaty, you will develop and execute a go‑to‑market strategy, ensuring the company meets country‑wide order demand while delivering a strong value proposition to target segments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure business performance meets total country demand orders.
• Develop and communicate the go‑to‑market strategy and Hitachi Energy value proposition.
• Conduct face‑to‑face or remote sales activities with new and existing customers.
• Assess customer needs and propose appropriate products, services, or solutions.
• Plan, develop, and deliver marketing strategies for products and associated brands.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, channel partners, and decision makers.
• Identify and pursue business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
• Allocate resources and set plans to achieve sales targets.
• Lead local staff to improve efficiency, quality, service, and cost.
• Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy, legal, HSE, and integrity regulations.
• Manage risk in accordance with corporate risk‑management rules.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong technical background with a proven track record in sales and marketing.
• Solid leadership, decision‑making, influencing and networking abilities.
• Experience in business development, account management and cross‑selling across systems, solutions, products and services.
• Understanding of contract negotiation and risk management.
