Analytics Engineer (Payments & Finance Data)

About the role

Simple Life is seeking an Analytics Engineer to own the finance data domain. You will bring together data from multiple sources, improve its quality, run reconciliations and ensure financial models remain reliable for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance data products for the finance team, including reports, alerts and automations.
• Build and operate continuous monitoring for data freshness, completeness, quality and reconciliation breaks.
• Investigate data incidents, resolve discrepancies and drive root‑cause fixes.
• Design and maintain financial data models in Snowflake using Python, dbt and Airflow.
• Create LLM‑based agents to accelerate analysis, documentation and automation across the finance data stack.

Required profile

• Enjoys solving messy data problems and takes pride when reconciliations tie out.
• Comfortable defending data findings to finance leadership.
• Hands‑on experience in a data engineering or analytics engineering role.
• Background working with real‑world financial or payments data.
