Accounting Operations Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Operations Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team at Wabtec’s manufacturing facility in Astana. You will collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Operations, IT and Project teams to ensure accurate vendor accounting and support ongoing ERP and digitalisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable processes and vendor statement reconciliation.
• Allocate costs accurately and support cost accounting for repairs and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax legislation and VAT offset procedures.
• Prepare and support financial reporting, internal and external audits.
• Participate in ERP implementation, system upgrades and other finance‑related IT projects.
• Review and prepare contracts with suppliers and contractors.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, cost accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably 1C, and involvement in ERP implementation projects.
• Familiarity with accounting treatment of current and capital repairs of fixed assets.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
