A400M MRO Technician (B1/B2) – Airbus Defence & Space

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking an experienced B1/B2 mechanic to join the A400M MRO Network & FSR (TASST4) in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The successful candidate will work on the A400M military transport aircraft, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at the Kazakh Air Force base and other secure MRO sites worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on A400M aircraft in accordance with customer agreements.
• Supervise and certify work performed by non‑licensed mechanics.
• Manage small teams of mechanics during maintenance activities.
• Participate in the development and implementation of working processes and best practices.
• Provide technical support for modifications, repairs, and customer‑requested services.

Required profile

• EASA Part‑66 licence (mandatory).
• Preferably a military background and PERM‑145 licence.
• Experience with MRO on modern digital aircraft such as the A380 or A350.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent English; Russian or Kazakh at negotiation level; Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• EASA Part‑66 licence.
• PERM‑145 licence (desirable).
• Hands‑on MRO experience on modern digital aircraft (e.g., A380, A350).
